Our Story
Marty McDermott born in the borough of Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Bayside, Queens in a middle-class/working class neighborhood that was filled with the textures, sounds and sights of the sixties USA...!
Became interested in music at an early age, learned piano but picked up the guitar in the teenage years and was quickly seduced by rock 'n roll. Played in several bands through the high school years and afterward. Took a long break for family and career commitments. Back on the music scene in upstate NY beginning in the late 1990's.
Led the Albany, NY based party/rock n' roll band, the REVERBERATORS, from 2001 - 2024. Currently leads the Irish/Celtic/Irish-ish band Twisted Kilt and performs as a solo artist and in various duos throughout the Capital District/Hudson Valley region...!!
